Our History
The Seville has a long and storied history that is forever linked to the glamorous years when Downtown Minneapolis was truly the cultural and social hub of Minnesota if not the entire Midwest. Located in the heart of the theater and warehouse district, the first incarnation of this recently renovated property was The Seville Hotel. During this time, The Seville Hotel played host to some of the most popular stars of the era. Famous names from Broadway, Hollywood, Vaudeville, and Burlesque that regularly performed in Minneapolis venues made The Seville Hotel their home away from home. Gathering at The Seville bar or at the piano located in the ornate lobby, these personalities from far and wide would sing and entertain each other often until sunrise. It was a special treat to be invited to join these brilliant stars of yesteryear during these gala gatherings.
